For those of you who don’t know, I work at a toy store in Hinsdale, IL called C. Foster Toys. It’s in the same town as the church Joel works in, in fact it’s about a three minute walk from where he works. I love my job so much! First of all, it’s a little family owned toy store that’s been around for over 60 years and my bosses are great, they’re extremely fun and totally flexible about schedules and that sort of thing. Second, it’s close to Joel’s work so we commute together and have lunch together almost everyday which means we get to spend much more time than we used to. Plus, it’s toys people! Most days I get to play with them and get paid for it. We also wrap presents and help people pick out their gifts and such. It’s just usually a lot of fun.

Today we did inventory though. Ugh, it was exhausting! Well, mentally it was exhausting as far as work goes though it wasn’t too bad at all. We had scanners for most of the stuff and luckily I had to do very little of the stuff that couldn’t be scanned today. We actually did a lot of the items that didn’t have bar codes last week. Tomorrow we’ll be putting the store back together since we basically tore it apart scanning and counting everything. I’m not sure what we’ll be doing the rest of the week but hopefully it’ll be relaxed right before I take three weeks off. That sounds funny but seriously, after the whole Christmas season we all need a little relaxing time at work.

Speaking of relaxing, my new addiction is this free flash game I found. It’s a mind game called Hyper Frame. If you like puzzles and mind games you should give it a try. There’s a speed version where you have to see how many simple ones you can solve in just a few minutes and then there’s the mode where you just work your way through all of their collection at your own pace. I’m up to puzzle 18/40 (and seriously stuck, by the way! lol). How far can you get?
