Duck dog

Phoebe loves the snow but lately it’s been so cold that her little paws have been getting cold. Plus, the salt on the sidewalks are hard on the pads of her paws. She’s delicate.

Anyway, last year we bought her a little outdoor outfit when she decided to go on a potty outside strike. She wouldn’t go outside and would pee the minute she got back into the house. Not. Ok.

She had been doing ok this year until today. It’s just too freaking cold. When she refused to go for me Joel and I were afraid she was going to try and go on a potty strike again. Instead of dealing with messes we brought out the outfit.

She was clearly not impressed with wearing those ridiculous little boots again.

Clearly I am a horrible person because I could not stop giggling about her waddle.

Baby giggles

I’m still feeling pretty lousy. Much better than yesterday. But still? Blah.

Nothing is happier than baby giggles. So instead of whining about how bad I feel I’ll leave you with a smile with this video.

Cutest safety video ever

My favorite thing about flight attendant training was learning the safety demo.

I may or may not be easily amused.

It was just so fun motioning to exits, doing the fasten/unfasten of the seat belt and putting on the oxygen mask just like I’d seen other flight attendants do so many times. Now I was one of them. It was when I really started to feel like a flight attendant.

On that note, there are all kinds of safety videos out there. This one is by far the most adorable one I’ve ever seen. Don’t you just want to take her home and put her on a shelf? ::squee::

New Soul

With the way I’ve been feeling the last couple of days for some reason the song below is very healing to me. It just makes me so happy.

I’m going to continue making mistakes. Some of them will have consequences I could have never foreseen. That’s life I guess. I’m always learning and improving as I go.

Pretty

This? This is just the most fantastic thing I’ve seen in ages. It gave me goosebumps and made me want to cry and cheer at the same time.

I want to be thought of as pretty, I’m not going to lie. I know I have a lot of image issues (but who wants to hear me complain about stuff like that?). What I want more than anything is to feel comfortable in my own skin and focus on the things about me that really matter. I have those moments occasionally. They’re too few and far between though.

But someday I hope to have a daughter and for her I will work on it so I don’t continue the cycle of striving for pretty.
